A Local Area Network (LAN) can be defined as the group of computers connected to a server through a share communication wire or a wireless network (Rouse, 2017). While selecting a proper LAN technology, a user should consider different factors like the cost efficiency, performance, and maintainability. The LAN technology has developed at a rapid pace from 1990.
